When billable hours go missing
Consultants fill in timesheets at the end of the week from memory, or not at all. Invoices go out late because someone has to collect hours and expenses from five places. Nobody knows a project is over budget until it has already lost money.
Sales tracks deals in one tool, delivery runs projects in another and finance invoices from a third, so every handover means retyping the scope.
In Odoo, the deal, the project, the timesheets, the expenses and the invoice are linked, so time logged today can go on the next invoice.
How Odoo handles it
All of it is standard Odoo. We set it up around your services, contracts and team.
From deal to project
A confirmed quotation can create the project and its tasks, so delivery starts from the scope that was sold.
Timesheets
Time logged against tasks from a browser or phone, with a timer, and reviewed before it is invoiced.
Billing models
Invoice on timesheets, on milestones or at a fixed price, with a different model per service line on the same order.
Expenses
Receipts photographed on a phone, approved, and re-invoiced to the client where the contract allows it.
Project profitability
Each project shows hours, costs, amounts invoiced and amounts still to invoice, so you see the margin while the work is running.
CRM
Leads and opportunities in one pipeline, with quotations built from your list of services.
People
Employee records and time off, and with Odoo Enterprise, planning of who works on which project and when.

Questions from services firms
Can clients see how their project is going?
Yes. Odoo’s customer portal can show clients their tasks, timesheets, quotations and invoices, depending on what you choose to share.
Can we bill some clients by the hour and others at a fixed price?
Yes. Each service can be invoiced on timesheets, on milestones or at a fixed price, and one order can mix them.
Can staff log time from their phones?
Yes. Timesheets work in a phone browser, and Odoo Enterprise includes mobile apps.
We use HubSpot or Salesforce for sales. Can we keep it?
Yes. Either can be connected to Odoo so won deals reach projects and invoicing without retyping. Whether you keep it or move to Odoo CRM is something we work through in discovery.
Is Odoo too much for a small firm?
You only switch on the apps you use. A small firm might start with Project, Timesheets and Invoicing and add more later.
