When stock, orders and warehouses drift apart
A salesperson promises stock that is already reserved for another customer. The warehouse ships from the wrong location. Each large customer has its own prices, kept in a spreadsheet the sales team emails around.
Purchasing reorders by feel, so some items run out while others sit until they expire. Customers phone to ask where their order is, because nobody can see it without calling the warehouse.
Odoo puts orders, stock in every warehouse, purchasing and invoicing in one system, so the number a salesperson sees is the number on the shelf.
How Odoo handles it
Everything below comes with Odoo. We configure it for your warehouses, products and customers.
Several warehouses
Stock per warehouse and per location inside it, with transfers between warehouses tracked as their own documents.
Routes and picking
Receive, pick, pack and ship in one, two or three steps per warehouse, and group orders into batch transfers for pickers.
Replenishment
Reordering rules with minimum and maximum quantities per product and warehouse create purchase orders from actual stock and demand.
Lots and expiry dates
Lot numbers with expiry and removal dates, and first-expired-first-out picking so older stock leaves first.
Price lists
Prices per customer, customer group, currency or quantity, applied automatically when a quotation is created.
B2B portal and ordering
Customers log in to see their quotations, orders, deliveries and invoices, and can reorder through Odoo eCommerce at their own prices.
Barcode scanning
Receipts, picking and stock counts done with a scanner or a phone. The Barcode app is part of Odoo Enterprise.

Questions from distributors
Can Odoo handle warehouses in different cities?
Yes. Each warehouse has its own locations, routes and stock, and goods move between them through tracked transfers.
Can each customer have their own prices?
Yes. Price lists can be set per customer or customer group, with quantity breaks and date ranges, and Odoo applies them on the quotation.
Does Odoo track expiry dates?
Yes. With lots and expiry dates switched on, each lot carries its dates, and the warehouse can be set to pick the earliest expiry first.
Can our sales reps take orders on the road?
Odoo works in a phone browser, and Odoo Enterprise includes mobile apps. If your reps need something more specific, we can build a mobile app connected to Odoo.
Can you connect Odoo to our online store or shipping company?
Often, yes. Odoo has ready connectors for some stores and carriers, and its API lets us build the rest. We check what your providers offer before we quote.
