Egypt has dozens of Odoo partners. If you are about to implement Odoo, the partner you choose will shape the project more than any single feature of the software. Below: what Odoo’s partner levels tell you, how to check a partner yourself and what to ask before you sign.
What the partner levels mean
Odoo sells its software through a network of partners and groups them into levels: Ready, Silver and Gold. A partner moves up through its track record with Odoo Enterprise customers and the Odoo certifications held by its consultants.
In practice a level tells you how much Odoo business a partner has done and whether it has people who passed Odoo’s own exams. It does not tell you whether the partner knows your industry, your country’s tax rules or your language. Those you have to ask about.
Check a partner yourself
Odoo publishes its partner directory on odoo.com. You can filter it by country and by level, so it takes a minute to confirm what any partner, including us, tells you about its level.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Who will work on our project, and are they certified on the version we will use?
- Have you implemented the apps we need, such as manufacturing, point of sale or multi-company accounting?
- How do you handle data migration from our spreadsheets or current system?
- What do you build as custom modules, and how do you keep them upgradable?
- Who hosts the system, and who looks after it after go-live?
- Can our teams work in Arabic and English?
Good partners answer these plainly and put the answers in writing. Be careful with any partner that gives a fixed price before it has looked at how you work.
Ask to meet the people who will support you a year after go-live, as well as the people writing the proposal.
Community or Enterprise
A partner should also help you choose the edition. Odoo Community is free and open source. Odoo Enterprise is a paid subscription that adds apps, Odoo’s mobile apps, hosting options and version upgrades. The right choice depends on the apps you need, which a partner can only judge after a proper discovery.
Where Kites Development fits
Kites Development is an official Odoo partner based in Sheikh Zayed, Giza. We have been building business software since 2018, with projects across MENA and Europe, and we work in Arabic and English.
We handle the whole project with one team: discovery, configuration, custom modules, data migration, training and support, plus the web and mobile apps and the hosting around Odoo when you need them. You can read how we run a project on our Odoo services page.
Next step
Shortlist two or three partners, check them in Odoo’s directory and ask each the questions above. If you would like us on that list, book a free consultation and we will start with how your business works today.
